Formula DRIFT Teams Up with Ehab.com; To Establish a Digital Network of Drifting Fans PDF Print E-mail

ImageLong Beach, Calif. – September 11, 2008 – Formula DRIFT has teamed-up with Ehab.com to create an interactive Formula DRIFT widget network. Recognizing its unique position as a leader in the Drifting market, Formula DRIFT has launched a unique effort to establish a digital network of drifting fans.

Ehab allows Formula DRIFT to create a highly dynamic and viral, media-rich “widget” to place strategically on its social network pages, blogs, and websites. Formula DRIFT will then motivate drifting fans to embed on their social network pages such as Facebook and Myspace, drifting blogs, message boards and all fan websites. Incentives will include promotions, contests and exclusive content distribution. The result will be a broad, digital network of drifting fans which spans the web.

Once the network is in place, Formula DRIFT will then have a captive audience to send messages, promotions, events, videos, contests and merchandising info to. This network will cross all social networks, blogs, website portals, and other destinations where race fans hang out online.

“We believe this is the absolute next generation method for brand-to-consumer communication and ehab provides it in spades” said Ryan Sage, VP of Marketing for Formula DRIFT. “As a marketing vehicle, ehab ‘super’ widgets, are far superior than email marketing or any other form of viral marketing because you can create a highly targeted brand channel which seeps into every nook and cranny of the web. We no longer have to figure out how to keep up with maintaining content and promotions spread throughout the web such as Myspace, Facebook, Hi5, Blogger, and others. Formula DRIFT and ehab intend to monetize the network through 3rd party sponsorship. Christian Burkholder, CEO of Subculture had this to say about the sponsorship opportunity, “We recognize the value of such a highly targeted and loyal group as drifting fans. Part of this can be served to advertisers who want direct access and connection to targeted online audiences. Some of our existing clients include: music distributors, brands, sports teams, and music recording artists.
