SMART Car without a tail-pipe at Tesla Motor's in San Carlos

It looks like Tesla motors is working with SMART. Word has come that Tesla has been working with SMART and installing the Tesla drive train in the SMART cars. A SMART car was recently seen at Tesla's San Carlos facility plugged into a Tesla charging station.

How do we know this SMART car wasn't the standard SMART vehicle? It was plugged into a Tesla branded charging station, the very same charging station that the Tesla Roadster uses.

While we cannot "prove" this with photographic evidence that some may demand. We can tell you that we have seen this with our own eyes. We do not condone taking, or publishing photo's of vehicles that are in areas off limits to the public.

Feel free to label our story as a rumor until of course SMART and Tesla issue a press release in the near future.
