| Tesla begins marketing of Tesla Roadster in Europe at Cannes and Monaco Grand Prix Formula 1 |

Tesla motors blog reports that the Tesla Roadster's marketing in the EU will be accelerating. Tesla presented the Roadster at the Cannes festival, as well as the Grand Prix of Formula 1 in Monaco.
In spite of having very little time to prepare for the two events, they are confident that the efforts they are making overseas will provide them with successful events. They spent ten days on the Riviera in France, and carried out approximately 45 customer tests.
Tesla is currently taking orders in Europe, with deliveries expected to begin in April of 2009.

While Tesla enjoys a considerable amount of publicity in the United States, They have come to the conclusion that it will take a considerable amount of effort to make a name for themselves in Europe. The blog mentions that potential customers in Europe hadn't realized that the Roadster is not only functional, but is also quite a looker. On top of being a great looking car, and being truly functional, it is considerably faster than most had expected.
