Tesla Motor's Whitestar body originally designed by Fisker PDF Print E-mail

ImageIt has come to our attention from a reliable source that Tesla Motors had outsourced the body design of the new Whitestar to Fisker. Tesla may have backed out of the deal after the design was finished, but it looks like the overall design is to remain the same.

Fisker has just recently announced that its Hybrid Electric sports car the Fisker Karma would be in production, and ready for sale soon. The body design that Fisker is using for the Fisker Karma hybrid was initially designed for use by Tesla Motors for the Whitestar Project.

Tesla's Whitestar is thought to be very similar in design to the Fisker Karma. With a unique twist that is Tesla's claim to fame. The power plant is more than likely going to be very similar to that of the Roadster. It may end up being a Hybrid electric vehicle. While this is all just speculation, it is very possible that Tesla will build the Whitestar as a full on Electric Family car with Style. The interior as well as the design of the Whitestar's body is supposed to be sleek, and uniquely Tesla.

We will of course be eagerly awaiting the official design release from Tesla, and look forward to seeing what the creative and innovative minds at Tesla have up their sleeves...

Fisker Karma, rough draf of Tesla's Whitestar UPDATE Looks like Fisker is being sued by Tesla for substandard design which was not accepted. Our Initial reports that the design was originally created for Tesla were fairly accurate while not exact.
